welove.audio Engine (or WLA Engine) is a lightweight middleware for implementation of adaptive music in video games, developed and distributed by us, welove.audio GmbH. It can be used to play welove.audio Catalog, a collection of adaptive music tracks, authored and produced by welove.audio, or it can be used to play custom contents (early beta).
welove.audio Engine is intended to be used as a plugin in the host application. The plugin provides audio signal containing music (or silence, if needed) to the host application. The application controls the engine by activating music pages (application-specific music contexts) and setting the values of engine's control parameters.
Most functionality of adaptive music is implemented by WLA's Core Rendering Engine.
The WLA Engine can be used on Microsoft Windows 64-bit platforms
- in Unity (see Using welove.audio Engine in Unity)
- in Unreal Engine (see Using welove.audio Engine in Unreal Engine)
- directly linked to an executable (see Using welove.audio Engine DLL)
